Just to say a huge thank you to Neil and his skilled team of workers for creating our beautiful house on the outskirts of Wedmore. Its an absolute joy to live in Radford Barn.
We have known Neil for many years, using him for many smaller projects in the past. We have always found him easy to work with and very obliging. His quote was very competitive, and we had no doubts in offering him the contract to build Radford Barn.
Considering building started a few months after Covid, it came in on budget and pretty much on time. Minor delays were mainly due to materials. The whole team worked extremely hard, to a very high standard, and easily sorted any minor problems along the way…. a permanent supply of home baked cake always helps!!
The build quality was excellent and even the few minor snags were sorted within quote and contract.
We have no hesitation in recommending Neil and his wonderful team to anybody looking for a caring, quality build. Thanks again to all of them, we love living here.

We were introduced to Neil Tucker by David Salisbury who built and assembled the infrastructure of the new orangery. We needed a building company to carry out the ground and associated works for the Orangery and I arranged to meet Neil Tucker, who had carried out similar works alongside David Salisbury over a period of some 14 years. Having met Neil Tucker on site and subsequently obtained a quotation for the works from him, he and his team were appointed. During the project Neil Tucker worked very closely with David Salisbury in terms of the survey work and detailed drawings. The groundwork, electrics, plumbing, heating, plastering painting were all carried out by Neil Tucker and his specialist trade teams, who came down to our property in Cornwall from Somerset and stayed in nearby b&bs/hotels during the construction and building phase. We were extremely pleased with the attitude and approach of the Tucker team and in particular with the quality of their work, which is reflected in the finish. During the construction period, certain minor additions were sought by me and the works were completed within the original quotation plus the cost of the minor additions.”

Hindhayes Infant School – I am very pleased to have the opportunity to write a testimonial for the refurbishment work which NC Tucker Ltd undertook on part of the school during the Summer of 2024. Hindhayes is a beautiful school but being built in 1928 means that some of the original building was poorly insulated and wasn’t up to modern standards. Despite our best efforts to improve conditions for the children and staff, over a number years, the only thing which would have lasting impact was a complete refurbishment.
Therefore, in 2023 we started on an ambitious fundraising project and raised the funds needed to move forward with the project. The only time which the building work could be completed was in the 6-week summer holiday and with only a few weeks to go, we were still not able to commit to the project. However, with 2 days to go before work was planned to start we were able to give the go ahead. Not many builders would be able to have the ability to be as flexible and we really appreciated this otherwise the refurbishment may never have gone ahead.
I have worked with many builders and contractors over the past 30 years and genuinely can say that Neil’s team have been some of the very best I have worked with. All the team were hard working, committed and focused on delivering a high quality refurbishment which has made so much difference to the children and staff now and for many more years to come, maybe another 100! We have happy children and staff too!
The communication from Neil and his Team have been excellent. Neil will always get back to you or one of his Team. The Site Foreman was great at explaining each stage of the build, what was happening and when as well as any challenges or changes we wanted to make.
The project has been a success, was delivered on time and on budget.
